2019-08-26 SEP Campaign One Appreciation Dinner

To commemorate the completion of Campaign One of the School Enhancement Project, the Fundraising Committee is hosting an appreciation dinner on 26th August, 2019 at the Shanghai Fraternity Association Club.

Dr. Arnold Cheng Cheuk Sang, Chairman of SPC Foundation, Mr. Dennis Yuen Dick Yan, Principal of St. Paul’s College, Dr. Ian Chan Yau Nam, Chairman of the Fundraising Committee, and Mr. Antonio Ching, Chairman of Special Project Team, were the hosts.

We were honored to have the presence of Bishop Thomas Soo Yee Po, Mr. Timothy Ha Wing Ho, retired Principal of SPC, Mrs. Too So Kwok Chun, previous Vice Principal of SPC, and more than fifty distinguished alumni and donors from the classes of 60s to 90s.

Dr. Chan welcomed all our guests and donors at the beginning of the dinner and thanked them for their support to the School Enhancement Project while Mr. Yuen shared the vision of the School Enhancement Project and announced the setup of an endowment fund for needy students. Dr. Cheng also thanked the Fundraising Committee and the Special Project Team for their effort and contribution.

During the dinner, we presented Certificates of Appreciation to our Major Donors whose contribution would be commemorated by the naming of a laboratory, classroom, function/resource room or other school facilities. Major Donors included Dr. Paul Yung Yue Hung ‘61, Dr. Victor Lui King Sing ‘61, Dr. Fung Kai Bun ‘61, Prof. Frank Fu Hoo Kin ‘66, Dr. Ian Chan Yau Nam ‘67, Dr. Freddie Fu Ho Keung ‘ 68, Mr. Tenny Doone ’68, Dr. Frederick Fung Kai Hey ‘72, Dr. Yuen Wai Key ‘75, Mr. Raymond Kwok Ka Sing ‘78, Mr. Simon Cua Tin Yin ‘80, Dr. Richard Chiu Wing ‘80, Mr. Herbert Au Yeung Ho Wing ‘91, Mr. Ricky So (parent), Mrs. Yip Qi Li Jun (friend of SPC), Wu Jieh Yee Charitable Foundation Ltd, Class of 1966, Class of 1967, alumni from F.1D (1967/68) and Class of 1972.

Mr. Ching presented the current status of the School Enhancement Project and the infrastructure of the new campus, which was followed by a Q & A session to allow our alumni to learn more about the project.

It was a successful and meaningful dinner to us. We are particularly thankful for all the supportive advice and suggestions.
