Dear Fellow Alumni:
St. Paul’s celebrates its 170th Anniversary this year with a series of programs planned under the theme of “ Celebrate the Heritage, Build the Future” with the aim to highlight our forefathers accomplishments and the path St. Paul’s will follow to nurture the students. The kick off ceremony took place in October and the celebration officially began.
An Endowment Fund, initiated by a group of alumni, was launched with the belief that no capable students would be denied admission to St. Paul’s due to their financial considerations. To take the first step to move the Fund forward, an alumnus pledged a seeding fund of HKD 30 million, a one to one matching gift. The establishment of the Endowment Fund is monumental to the school’s development. It will provide opportunities to students from all backgrounds, creating a healthy environment for the students to mature in. During lunch, a group of alumni spontaneously donated HKD 850k and together with the matching fund made the gift to be 1.7 million.
The kick-off ceremony/lunch went very smoothly and everyone looks forward to the Celebration events ahead. In the meantime, please continue your support and share your ideas.
