Educational Visit to BGI Genomics: Inspiring Future Biotechnologists
On 14th June 2024, our Form 5F students embarked on an enriching field trip to BGI Genomics, a global leader in genetic research and biotechnology based in China.
During the visit, students:
• Explored state-of-the-art laboratories and learned about groundbreaking genomic sequencing technologies
• Engaged with scientists to understand real-world applications of biotechnology in healthcare and agriculture
• Gained insights into career opportunities in this rapidly evolving field
This immersive experience not only deepened their understanding of cutting-edge scientific research but also inspired them to consider the ethical implications and future potential of genomic innovations.
